Condemns all acts of discrimination and hate perpetrated against the Asian American community in Alabama and the United States.

Notes that approximately 65,000 Asian Americans reside in Alabama and over 2,000,000 Asian Americans work on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic as first responders in health care, law enforcement, and other service industries.

Calls for state officials, state law enforcement officials, and local officials to expeditiously investigate, document, and collect data on credible reports of hate crimes, incidents, and threats against the Asian American community.

Encourages all Alabamians to promote respect, inclusion, and a welcoming environment by intervening and reporting instances of discrimination and hate, and by showing kindness and empathy to all people.

Urges Alabamians to assist in establishing a safe environment for all residents of the state and denounces racism based on ethnicity, including incitement to violence resulting from COVID-19.
