• Mrs. Crumpton was born April 26, 1921, in Mount Hope, Alabama, and worked as a farmer, bookkeeper, hospital aide, and for the Lawrence County Commission on Aging for 34 years before retiring at age 94.

• She has been a lifelong member of Mount Hope Methodist Church and is survived by 6 children, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
