Celebrates the life of Madelyn Ann McClendon, born July 12, 2002, who passed away on May 8, 2021, at age 18 on World Ovarian Cancer Day.

Honors McClendon's fight against small cell carcinoma of the ovary, hypercalcemic type (SCCOHT), a rare and aggressive cancer diagnosed in October 2020.

Recognizes how McClendon's brave battle inspired her entire community, bringing together members from nearly a dozen churches to pray and worship together.

Calls on the legislature to work diligently to increase accessibility for women to receive ovarian cancer screenings and to continue searching for viable screening and treatment options.

Expresses sympathy to McClendon's surviving family members: parents Mark and Chris McClendon, siblings Carson, Kaylyn, and Lindsey, and extended family.
