Recognizes Fort Payne High School's FIRST Robotics Team, the Gigawatts, for winning the Chairman's Award for the Southeastern Region.

The Chairman's Award is FIRST's most prestigious honor, given to teams that best represent a model for others and advance the goal of inspiring respect for science and technology.

The Fort Payne robotics program began seven years ago at the middle school level and has grown to include 30 middle school members and 27 high school members.

The House of Representatives extends congratulations to the team and dedicates this resolution to them for their dedication, talent, and hard work.
