The House of Representatives mourns the death of Mr. Paul Rex Keeton, who died on January 29, 2021, at the age of 86.

Mr. Keeton was born June 21, 1934, in Cherokee, Alabama, and earned a double Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and Math from Florence State College (now University of North Alabama).

He served in the United States Army and worked as a chemist at Reynolds Metals Company for 35 years before retiring.

Mr. Keeton was a devout Methodist who was a member of Cherokee First United Methodist Church, Sheffield First United Methodist Church, and Tuscumbia United Methodist Church; his personal interests included flying private aircraft, studying history, and collecting antique cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard Keeton, and sister Yvonne Underwood, and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth, and his nieces and nephews.
