The House of Representatives commends The Reverend Michael E. Jackson for his professional achievements and contributions to his community and state.

Reverend Jackson holds degrees including an associate's degree from S.D. Bishop State Junior College, an undergraduate degree from the University of Mobile, a master's degree from New Orleans Baptist Seminary, and a doctorate from Virginia Union University School of Theology.

His career began in 1976 at Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church, where he currently serves as Pastor and Executive Director of Aimwell's Learning Tree Day Care, and he is an Associate Professor of Theology at Selma University.

He has held numerous leadership positions including Chairman of the City of Mobile's Human Relations Commission, Board Member of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Home Mission Board, and CEO of the Orange Grove Community Development Corporation.

The resolution dedicates this commendation to Reverend Jackson with appreciation and admiration, extending best wishes for continued success during his retirement.
