Mr. Herschel Albert Matheny of Huntsville, Alabama, died on January 23, 2021, at age 90 years.

Born July 28, 1930, in Guntersville, Alabama, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of Alabama in 1957.

Cofounder, President, and Chair of the Board of Dynetics, Incorporated, an aerospace research and development firm headquartered in Huntsville; inducted into The University of Alabama's Distinguished Engineering Fellows in 1988 and the State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Lynne Wietfeld Matheny; two children; seven grandchildren; and one sister.

The House of Representatives records his death with deep sadness and offers this resolution in tribute to his life and with sympathy to his family.
