SB19 Summary

• Amends Section 17-3-8, Code of Alabama 1975, to modify meeting day limits for the Etowah County Board of Registrars.

• Removes the current maximum of 207 working days each fiscal year and replaces it with authorization to meet up to five working days each week.

• Adds Etowah County to the list of Alabama counties (Baldwin, Calhoun, Chilton, Madison, Mobile, Montgomery, St. Clair, and Morgan) authorized to conduct board of registrars meetings up to five days per week.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
