• Establishes that abstinence from sexual intercourse outside of lawful marriage is the expected social standard for unmarried school-age persons.

• Mandates course materials include age-appropriate and medically accurate information on contraception reliability, sexual abuse laws, peer pressure resistance, parenting skills, and financial responsibilities related to pregnancy and child support.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
