Revenue Commissioner of Cherokee County shall receive an annual salary equal to 85 percent of the Judge of Probate of Cherokee County's salary, effective beginning the next term of office.

Sheriff of Cherokee County shall receive an annual salary equal to 60 percent of the District Attorney of the Ninth Judicial Circuit's salary, effective beginning the next term of office.

Sheriff of Cherokee County must annually complete a minimum of 12 hours of executive level training approved by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission, effective beginning the next term of office.

Salary provisions do not apply if they would result in a reduction to current annual salaries for the revenue commissioner or sheriff.

Act becomes effective immediately upon passage and gubernatorial approval or upon otherwise becoming law.
