SB254 Summary

• Amends Section 11-54A-7 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to modify director qualifications for city redevelopment authorities.

• Expands eligibility for board membership to include property owners within the city's redevelopment district in addition to qualified electors of the city.

• Directors must be either a duly qualified elector of the city or own property within the redevelopment district as defined by the city.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon becoming law otherwise.
