Proposes an amendment to Section 122 of the Alabama Constitution to allow the Legislature to call itself into a special session, expanding the current power held exclusively by the Governor.

The President Pro Tempore of the Senate and Speaker of the House may jointly convene a special session under the same conditions and limitations that apply to the Governor's power to call special sessions.

On the first day of any legislatively-called special session, each house must adopt a resolution by a two-thirds vote of all members elected to affirm the convening, or the Legislature stands adjourned sine die.

The Governor's existing authority to call special sessions under subsection (a) remains unaffected by this amendment.

Election on the proposed amendment shall be held in accordance with Alabama election laws and constitutional procedures under Sections 284 and 285.
