• Prohibits any person from knowingly disclosing the home address or unpublished home telephone number of active or retired law enforcement officers, judges, or prosecutors, or their spouses or children, with intent to cause harassment or risk of harm.

• Violation constitutes a Class C misdemeanor criminal offense.

• Civil liability includes minimum liquidated damages of $1,000 per violation, plus actual damages, punitive damages for willful or reckless conduct, reasonable attorney's fees, and other equitable relief as determined by the court.

• Applies to law enforcement officers certified by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission and those employed by state, county, or municipal agencies with arrest powers.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
