SB389 Summary

• Amends Section 28-3A-6 of the Alabama Code to increase the daily off-premises liquor sales limit for licensed distilleries from 2.25 liters to 4.5 liters per customer per day.

• Applies only to liquor manufactured at the distillery's licensed premises and sold at retail on those premises for off-premises consumption.

• Liquor sold under this provision must remain sealed, labeled, packaged, and taxed in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.

• Requires manufacturer licensees to keep and maintain records for three years of all sales for off-premises consumption.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
