Amends Section 45-38-101 of the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding compensation for the Lamar County superintendent of education, effective beginning the next term of office.

Sets annual salary limit at no more than 25 percent in excess of the highest salary paid to any other employee in the county school system, with salary fixed by the county board of education and paid in equal monthly installments.

Requires the superintendent to furnish his or her own automobile and provides reimbursement for out-of-county and out-of-state travel on official business at $0.20 per mile.

Authorizes reimbursement for other actual expenses incurred in performance of official duties.

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or otherwise becoming law.
