Proposes a constitutional amendment to delete the provision granting probate courts in each county general jurisdiction over orphans' business.

Retains probate court jurisdiction over adoptions, letters testamentary and administration, guardianships, and further jurisdiction as provided by law.

Maintains circuit court power to assume jurisdiction of estate settlements and perform all necessary functions including appointment and removal of administrators, executors, guardians, and trustees.

Amendment becomes valid upon approval by a majority of qualified electors voting in accordance with Sections 284, 285, and 287 of the Alabama Constitution.

Senate passed the measure on February 11, 2021, and the House passed it on April 15, 2021.
