Alabama Farmers Federation was founded in 1921 and is celebrating its centennial anniversary after 100 years of service representing Alabama farmers.

Organization has grown from 75,000 members in 1960 to more than 360,000 members, making it the state's largest farm organization with 67 independent county federations.

Alabama Farmers Federation leaders founded Alfa Insurance in 1946 for rural fire protection, which now serves over one million customers across 11 states.

Federation operates leadership development programs including Young Farmers Committee, Women's Leadership Committee, 17 commodity committees, and A.L.F.A. Leaders Class.
