Senate Joint Resolution commending the Alabama Bicentennial Local Activities Committee for its work celebrating Alabama's bicentennial.

Committee is co-chaired by Carrie Banks (Communications Director for the Alabama League of Municipalities) and Tami Reist (Executive Director of the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association).

Committee has established 226 bicentennial committees representing all 67 of Alabama's counties to plan projects with communities and organizations.

Legislature dedicates the resolution to the Committee with gratitude and admiration for their efforts in celebrating and preserving the vibrant history of Alabama's diverse communities.

Each member of the Alabama Bicentennial Local Activities Committee will receive a copy of this declaration as a token of appreciation.
