Mourns the death of Mrs. Marie Hamrick Brown of Douglas, Alabama, who died on February 5, 2021, at age 89.

Recognizes her achievements as Valedictorian of Douglas High School's 1949 graduating class and her role as co-founder of Brown Hardware and Brown Appliance in Douglas.

Honors her community service including volunteer work at schools, service as a Parent Teacher Organization member, and poll worker at local, state, and federal elections for many years.

Notes her survivors including her husband of 70 years, four children, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and various siblings and relatives.

Directs the Alabama Legislature to record her death with deep sadness and offer this resolution as tribute to her life and sympathy to her family.
