SJR6 Summary

• Commends 16 Master Teachers of the Alabama Bicentennial for their service to the State of Alabama between 2016 and 2019.

• Master Teachers, content specialists, and apprentice teachers led 44 professional development institutes (12 in 2017, 12 in 2018, and 20 in 2019) that reached nearly 1,000 teachers across all 138 public school districts and all 67 counties in Alabama.

• Names 16 Master Teachers, 24 Content Specialists, and 11 Partner Teachers who participated in the initiative.

• Directs that each Master Teacher receive a copy of the resolution as recognition of their efforts in preserving Alabama's history and shaping the state's future.
