Commends the Alabama Bicentennial Education Committee for developing educational content and projects to promote history education in Alabama K-12 schools.

Committee is co-chaired by Steve Murray, Director of the Alabama Department of Archives and History, and Karen Porter, Program Coordinator for the Alabama Reading Initiative at the Alabama State Department of Education.

Committee mission is to preserve and share Alabama's rich history with students through engagement with K-12 schools, higher education institutions, internships, and publications.

Lists 18 committee members including Sandy Armstrong, Martha Bouyer, Cristin Brawner, Beth Goodwin, Deborah Gray, Diana Greene, Laura Hill, Mary Hubbard, Cindy Kirk, John Kvach, Neil Lamb, Andy Meadows, Margaret O'Neal, Melanie Poole, Tara Sartorius, and Allie Sorlie.

Resolves that each committee member receive a copy of the resolution in recognition of their efforts to ensure Alabama's history is preserved in the hearts and minds of youth.
