Sheriff of Jackson County receives an additional expense allowance of $15,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, commencing the first day of the month after the act's effective date.

Beginning with the expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term, the annual salary for the Sheriff of Jackson County shall be permanently increased by $15,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

Section 1 (the temporary expense allowance) shall be repealed when Section 2 (the permanent salary increase) takes effect upon the incumbent sheriff's term expiration.

The act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
