Designates a portion of Alabama State Highway 55 South in Covington County from Andalusia to Florala as "Medal of Honor Recipient Sergeant Rodney J. Evans Memorial Highway."

Honors Sergeant Rodney J. Evans, the sole Medal of Honor recipient from Covington County, who died on July 18, 1969, one day after his twenty-first birthday in Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam.

Recognizes Sergeant Evans's heroic actions during a reconnaissance mission when he warned his men of a concealed enemy mine, dove toward it, and absorbed the full impact of the explosion to save his comrades from probable death or injury.

Directs appropriate authorities to erect and maintain signs and markers specifying the memorial highway designation.

Requests the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of fabricating and erecting appropriate signs and markers, with installation to occur upon receipt of non-state funding sources covering the costs.
