Amends Section 12-16-63 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to add nursing mothers as a new category eligible for jury duty exemption upon request.

Allows nursing mothers to be excused from jury service if they are nursing at the time they receive the jury summons.

Nursing mothers excused under this provision are exempt from jury service for 12 months, compared to the standard 24-month exemption period for other excused jurors.

Expands existing jury duty exemption grounds to include: undue or extreme physical/financial hardship, mental or physical incapacity, nursing mother status, and reasons of public necessity.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
