• Provides a six percent salary increase for all certificated K-12 public education employees beginning fiscal year 2022-2023, with increases applied according to experience step on the State Minimum Salary Schedule.

• Grants a six percent pay increase to education support personnel (K-12), including adult bus drivers and Adult Basic Education employees, with salary schedules established for each job classification.

• Extends six percent salary increases to employees at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB), two-year postsecondary institutions, Department of Youth Services School District, Alabama School of Fine Arts, Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering, and Alabama School of Mathematics and Science.

• Excludes superintendents from automatic pay increases and exempts salary supplements, National Board certification bonuses, and JROTC federal salary portions from the increase provisions.

• Pay increases continue in subsequent years but does not authorize additional increases beyond the six percent established in fiscal year 2022-2023.
