All state employees, judicial personnel, legislative personnel, and county health department employees shall receive a 4% salary increase beginning with the first pay day on or after October 1, 2022.

The increase does not apply to local supplements provided to judges or local employees whose salary is tied to state employees.

The increase does not apply to Merit System or hourly employees covered by any labor agreement or contract.

The Director of State Personnel Department, Administrative Director of Courts, and Legislative leadership shall revise pay schedules and certify changes to the state Comptroller for warrant issuance.

Required appropriations shall be made through the annual budget act for affected entities, with the act becoming effective immediately upon passage and Governor approval.
