Amends Section 12-18-110 of the Alabama Code to delete the one-year notice deadline requirement for transferring creditable service and accumulated contributions from the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System to the Judicial Retirement Fund.

Allows members of the Judicial Retirement Fund who were members of the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System within one year prior to joining the Judicial Retirement Fund to elect to transfer their service and contributions without time constraints.

Removes the requirement that members notify the Board of Control within one year after becoming a Judicial Retirement Fund member, eliminating the temporal restriction on transfer notifications.

Requires the Board of Control to certify the amount of contributions and creditable service to both the Employees' Retirement System and Judicial Retirement Fund upon receiving a transfer request.

Became effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor; passed the House on February 8, 2022 and the Senate on April 6, 2022.
