• Extends the supplemental privilege assessment on nursing facilities through August 31, 2025 (previously set to expire August 31, 2022) at $1,603.08 per bed annually.

• Extends the secondary supplemental privilege assessment through August 31, 2025 at $401.28 per bed annually, contingent on minimum appropriations under Act 2015-536.

• Extends the monthly surcharge on nursing facilities through August 31, 2025, initially at $131.25 per licensed bed and reduced to $43.75 per month beginning September 20, 2012.

• Requires the Alabama Medicaid Agency to continue administering the Medicaid nursing facility program during the period the privilege assessments are levied and collected.

• Makes the act effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
