HB310 Summary

• Creates the Alabama Second Amendment Protection Act to prohibit state and local officials from enforcing or administering presidential executive orders that limit or restrict firearm, ammunition, or firearm accessory ownership, use, or possession by law-abiding residents.

• Prohibits state or local officials from being ordered, directed, or compelled to execute or administer any such executive order.

• Prohibits expenditure of state or local public funds for enforcement of presidential executive orders restricting firearms, ammunition, or firearm accessories.

• Authorizes the Attorney General to issue guidance to state and local officials to ensure uniform compliance with the act.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or if it otherwise becomes law.
