• Requires public K-12 schools to designate multiple occupancy restrooms and changing areas (restrooms, locker rooms, shower rooms) for use based on students' biological sex as stated on their original birth certificate.

• Exempts individuals entering opposite-sex facilities for custodial, maintenance, inspection, medical assistance, accompanying students needing help, receiving assistance, or when the restroom is temporarily designated for their biological sex.

• Prohibits teachers in kindergarten through fifth grade from engaging in classroom discussion or instruction regarding sexual orientation or gender identity in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate according to state standards.

• Directs the State Board of Education to adopt rules for implementation and enforcement of classroom instruction restrictions.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
