Marshall County Sheriff shall receive the same uniform compensation increases (such as cost-of-living increases) granted to other elected county officers in Marshall County.

For sheriffs serving when the act becomes effective, uniform increases shall be paid as expense allowances; for sheriffs elected or appointed after the effective date, increases shall be converted to salary and added to the annual salary rounded to the nearest dollar.

Uniform increases shall be added to the permanent salary of any sheriff elected or appointed after the act's effective date, notwithstanding Section 11-2A-4 of the Code of Alabama 1975.

Any uniform increases granted to the Marshall County Sheriff are in addition to any other compensation the sheriff receives.

The act became effective immediately upon passage by the House on March 10, 2022 and the Senate on March 30, 2022.
