Judge of Probate of Pickens County receives an additional expense allowance equal to the difference between current salary and $80,000 per year, payable monthly from the county general fund, effective the first day of the month following passage.

Beginning the next term of office after passage, the Judge of Probate salary becomes a permanent $80,000 annually, at which point the temporary expense allowance expires.

Judge of Probate becomes entitled to the same uniform compensation increases received by other elected county officers, such as cost-of-living increases, with annual increases added to the permanent salary base.

Act becomes effective immediately upon passage and Governor approval, or otherwise becoming law.
