Amends Act 80-536 to revise overtime compensation rules for law enforcement officers in Tuscaloosa County and its cities.

Law enforcement officers working more than 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week receive time-and-a-half pay or compensatory leave at the officer's option.

Allows City of Northport and City of Tuscaloosa to adopt a 4 ten-hour shifts per week schedule instead of 5 eight-hour shifts for certain police department positions.

Officers assigned to 10-hour shifts receive time-and-a-half pay or compensatory leave when working more than 10 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week.

Act becomes effective immediately upon passage and gubernatorial approval.
