Amends Section 45-39-70 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to increase the base salary of the Lauderdale County Commission Chair from $40,000 to a maximum of $50,000 per year.

Allows the Lauderdale County Commission to increase the chair's salary up to $50,000 per year beginning with the next term of office after the amendatory act's effective date.

Permits the county commission to provide an additional expense allowance to the chair, provided total compensation (salary plus allowance) does not exceed $50,000 per year, with any expense allowance automatically converting to salary in the next term.

Establishes specific duties for the chair including promoting economic development, establishing intergovernmental partnerships, and serving as county representative on boards and committees.

Retroactively ratifies and validates any salary increases paid to the chair prior to the act's effective date, back to November 18, 2016.
