Increases the annual salary of the Sheriff of Madison County from $70,000 to $150,000, effective with the next term of office beginning in January 2023.

Sheriff remains entitled to participate in the county health insurance plan and receive benefits on the same terms as county employees.

Sheriff shall receive uniform compensation increases, such as cost-of-living raises, in the same amount granted equally to county employees by the county commission.

Sheriff may not receive any monetary compensation other than reimbursements for itemized expenses and the annual salary specified in the act.

Act becomes effective upon expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term in January 2023.
