• Creates the crime of doxing, defined as intentionally publishing personal identifying information electronically with intent to cause harassment or harm.

• Applies enhanced penalties when the victim is a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or public servant, with intent to impede their governmental duties.

• Personal identifying information includes home address, work address, phone number, email address, photographs of children and their schools, or any information enabling the victim to be located or contacted.

• First violation is a Class A misdemeanor; second or subsequent violations are a Class D felony.

• Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
