HB7 - Alabama Second Amendment Preservation Act

• Declares federal firearms restrictions that apply exclusively within Alabama's borders to be invalid, void, and unenforceable in the state, including provisions of the 1934 and 1968 federal Gun Control Acts.

• Prohibits Alabama state officers and employees from enforcing any federal firearms restrictions listed in the bill, including registries, special taxes, and confiscation orders affecting law-abiding citizens.

• Authorizes private citizens to sue for declaratory judgment and damages against any person or entity attempting to enforce the identified federal firearms restrictions.

• Specifies restrictions as including firearm registration or tracking systems, special taxes on firearms or ammunition, and confiscation orders that could deter law-abiding citizens from exercising Second Amendment rights.

• Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
