AL HB84

Adds Section 36-17-21 to Alabama Code authorizing Board of Trustees of the Alabama Trust Fund to hold meetings via telephone conference, video conference, or similar communications equipment.

Requires all participants to hear each other simultaneously during virtual meetings, and establishes that virtual participation counts as physical presence for quorum and voting purposes.

Mandates that virtual meeting equipment allow members of the public to simultaneously listen to or observe meetings to the same extent required by Amendment 450.

Designates State Treasurer's facilities for administration of the Alabama Trust Fund, including scheduling and notification of all meetings.

Requires State Treasurer to provide meeting notice in compliance with Amendment 450 and the Open Meetings Act; bill becomes effective immediately upon Governor approval or upon becoming law.
