Commends Evan McPherson, a native of Fort Payne, Alabama, for his outstanding professional achievements as a kicker for the Cincinnati Bengals.

McPherson earned 302 career points and achieved an 85.0% career field goal percentage while playing for the University of Florida from 2018 to 2020.

McPherson was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and signed a four-year rookie contract on May 17, 2021.

McPherson went 14-for-14 on post-season kicks, including two successful field goal attempts in Super Bowl LVI on February 13, 2022, helping the Bengals reach the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years.

The Alabama Legislature honors McPherson as a hometown football star from DeKalb County and recognizes him as an exemplary role model for young athletes.
