Recognizes and commends the Walking Horse Association of Alabama, a nonprofit organization established July 16, 1969, to promote and protect the Tennessee Walking Horse.

The association promotes public awareness of Walking Horses, Spotted Saddle Horses, and Racking Horses (Alabama's Official Horse) through equitable event affiliation programs and serves as an industry advocate and communication hub.

Since 1998, the Walking Horse Association of Alabama has donated over $500,000 to Camp Smile-A-Mile, making it the organization's largest donor and longest-serving supporter of cancer care for Alabama children.

The resolution acknowledges the association's pledge to continue helping communities and the State of Alabama through its leadership and membership.

The House adopted the resolution on April 5, 2022, and the Senate adopted it on April 6, 2022.
