Recognizes Glynn Debter and Debter Hereford Farm on their 50th anniversary of operating one of the most respected cattle operations in the industry, located in Blount County, Alabama.

Debter Hereford Farm emphasizes herd improvement through genetics and performance-tested Hereford bulls and heifers, with an annual October bull sale that is one of the oldest in the Southeast and draws producers from across the nation.

Glynn Debter has served as President, Director, or Chair of numerous state and national cattle organizations, including the Alabama Cattleman's Association, American Hereford Association, Beef Cattle Improvement Association, and Beef Improvement Federation.

Debter was inducted into the Alabama Livestock Hall of Fame in 1989 and recently inducted into the Alabama Agriculture Hall of Honor at Auburn University College of Agriculture; he regularly opens his farm for educational outreach to college judging teams, tour groups, and 4-H clubs.

The Debter family, including four generations working together daily, is honored for their outstanding contributions to the cattle industry and service to the State of Alabama.
