Marion County High School Girls Basketball Team won the 2022 Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 1A Girls State Championship on March 3, 2022, at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center.

Team defeated defending state champion Skyline High School in the championship game, avenging a loss to the same team from the previous year.

Team also won the North Alabama Conference Championship, Class 1A Area 12 Championship, and Northwest Regional Championship during the season.

Head Coach Scott Veal led the team with assistance from Assistant Coaches Casey Fox, Glenn Phillips, Lexie Disher, and Team Manager Krissa Comer.

The House of Representatives recognizes and commends the Marion County High School Girls Basketball Team for their 2022 state championship win and outstanding athletic achievement.
