Commends legendary NASCAR driver Charles Lawrence "Red" Farmer for his professional racing achievements and 75-year racing career.

Recognizes that on March 17, 2022, Farmer will set a Guinness World Record as the oldest living race car driver still actively racing at age 89.

Highlights Farmer's racing accomplishments including more than 750 race victories, four NASCAR National Championships, continuous NASCAR competition license since 1953, and membership in 10 Hall of Fames including NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Notes Farmer's long-standing sponsorship relationship with Long-Lewis Ford since 1962 (60 years) conducted entirely on a handshake basis and his role as a founding member of the Alabama Gang racing group.

Honors Farmer's contributions to NASCAR and the State of Alabama through the passage of this resolution.
