Commends Representative Steve McMillan on his retirement and service to Alabama after representing House District 95 since 1982.

McMillan served on numerous House committees including the House Rules Committee, County and Municipal Government Committee, Internal Affairs Committee, Technology and Research Committee, and Ways and Means Education Committee, and chaired the Baldwin County Legislative Delegation Committee.

Key accomplishments include creating the Fair Ballot Commission, State Teacher of the Year program, Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Tourism organization, Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, Baldwin County Revenue Commissioner office, Historic Landmark Districts, Insurance Fraud Unit, and Alabama Homeowners Bill of Rights.

Held leadership positions beyond the legislature including past President of Bay Minette Rotary Club and Baldwin County Board of REALTORS, board member of the Southern Regional Education Board, and president of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science board.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Representative McMillan along with best wishes and prayers for his future endeavors.
