Recognizes Glynn Debter and Debter Hereford Farm on their 50th anniversary of operation in Blount County, Alabama.

Debter Hereford Farm is noted as one of the most respected cattle operations, emphasizing herd improvement through genetics and performance-tested Hereford bulls and heifers, with the farm's annual October bull sale being one of the oldest in the Southeast.

Debter farm cattle have been sold to operations in 40 states and Glynn Debter has served as President, Director, or Chair of the Alabama Cattleman's Association, American Hereford Association, Beef Cattle Improvement Association, and Beef Improvement Federation.

Glynn Debter started his cattle business in 1948 with two registered Hereford heifers for his 4-H project and was inducted into the Alabama Livestock Hall of Fame in 1989 and recently into the Alabama Agriculture Hall of Honor at Auburn University.

The Debter family, including wife Bobbie (married 61 years until her death in 2015) and their two sons, seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, represents four generations working together in the cattle operation.
