Commends Dr. Andrea Datson, Assistant Principal at Riverton Elementary School in Madison County, for being named the 2022 Alabama Assistant Principal of the Year.

Dr. Datson was selected as Alabama's recipient by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators.

Dr. Datson holds a Bachelor's Degree from Alabama A and M University, a Master's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University, an Educational Specialist Degree from Jacksonville State University, and a Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Datson has served as a teacher, behavior interventionist, and assistant principal and is recognized for encouraging teamwork, building positive relationships with students, and exemplary service to students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders.

The House of Representatives commends Dr. Datson for her selection and exemplary professional achievement.
