Commends Shea Danielle Patrick on being named a 2022 APT Young Hero by Alabama Public Television.

Patrick is a senior at Lee High School in Huntsville, Alabama with a 3.78 GPA and ranked in the top 10 percent of her class; enrolled in the Magnet Arts Program for Visual Arts.

Has studied art at Lowe Mill Art Center and Huntsville Museum of Art; participated in Panoply Art Festival and Art Market 2021; received the Mended Hearts Program Art Award in 2021.

Plans to pursue a career as a professional artist, animator, and writer with interests in drawing, sculpture, crafting, photography, comics, video editing, and costuming.

Overcame Familial Dilated Cardiomyopathy and received a heart transplant at age 7 months in February 2005; active in community volunteering with New Leash on Life, Burritt Museum, Huntsville Botanical Garden Gang, and Green Team.
