Commends Emma Goggans, a senior at Fort Payne High School, for being named a 2022 Alabama Public Television Young Hero.

Emma maintains a 4.37 GPA and ranks 12th in her class of 258 students; she was nominated by teacher Lee Freeman.

Participates in yearbook staff, Key Club, FBLA, SADD, and FPHS Tech Team; served as soccer captain in 9th and 10th grades and as Student Council President in senior year.

Active member of Fort Payne First United Methodist Church Youth Group and Praise Band; volunteered during COVID-19 pandemic to send letters to elderly adults and regularly participates in church missions.

Operates her own graphic design business, works for a local accounting firm, and is recognized for her leadership, kindness, and positive attitude.
