AL HR30

HR 30 is a commemorative resolution celebrating the life of Dr. Stephen Ford Dill, who served as a United Methodist Minister in the Alabama-West Florida Conference for 40 years.

Dr. Dill served as Senior Minister of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church from 1972 to 1990 and later as Interim Senior Minister in 2010, and organized multiple Methodist churches in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama.

Dr. Dill held numerous leadership positions including President of the Alabama-West Florida Conference Board of Pensions, Superintendent of Methodist Churches for the Troy District, and Director of the J.L. Bedsole Scholars Program for 18 years.

Dr. Dill received multiple honors including the 1992 Mobile United Community Service Award, 1994 Rotarian of the Year Award, 2010 Chamber of Commerce Fred Delchamps Award, and induction to the Murphy High School Hall of Fame.

The resolution records Dr. Dill's death with sadness and extends sympathy to his surviving wife Ruth Reeves Dill, four children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
