• Jackson County Sheriff receives an additional expense allowance of $15,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, effective the first day of the month after the act becomes law.

• Beginning with the expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term, the annual salary for the Jackson County Sheriff increases by $15,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

• The $15,000 expense allowance under Section 1 is repealed when the salary increase takes effect with the next sheriff's term.

• The act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
